Diane is a practice member here at Wellness Rhythms Chiropractic. In the three month prior to starting Network Chiropractic she fell 80 times because of a nervous system challenge. In the one of the falls Diane broke her wrist and had to have surgery! Life has gotten better for Diane! Since starting Network Chiropractic Diane has stopped falling (and more). Congratulations Diane!
Diane P.: To begin with, I am excited about my progress. And, I am excited about feeling more confident and I haven’t fallen over 2 months and since I started with you. And…
Dr. Jeff: How many times you have fallen before Diane?
Diane P.: Over 80.

One of the most sensitive systems in the human body is the nervous system, but it is also one of the most difficult to treat. The nervous system is comprised of one of the body’s most intricately patterned systems coordinating function of every cell, tissue and organ of the body! With disturbance of the nervous system healing is impaired leading to suffering that requires immediate medical attention. Read on to find out how a Denver Chiropractor Level III certified in Network Chiropractic can help.
Yet, the medical attention needed might be of a surgical or prescription nature. Wellness Rhythms Launches Spinal Health Month On International Women’s Day
International Women’s Day on March 8th is a global day celebrating the economic, political and social achievements of women past, present and future. This is also a day to honor the women in your life!
This year’s International Women’s Day celebration is focused on work — and making sure women across the world have access to the training and technology necessary to be a part of the global economy.
In 1908 approximately 15,000 women marched through New York City demanding shorter hours, better pay and voting rights. Quite a feat given there was no Twitter, Facebook or internet!
By 1909 in accordance with a declaration by the Socialist Party of America, the first National Woman’s Day (NWD) was observed across the United States on February 28th. Women continued celebrating NWD on the 4th Sunday of February until 1913.

Chiropractor in Denver shares surprising link between inflammation, your health and disease
According to Time Magazine, inflammation is the “silent killer”. This major news source sites an important link between inflammation and Alzheimer’s disease, cancer, and heart disease, as well as several other major health concerns. The inflammation they refer is to is the chronic, low grade type that is reaching epidemic proportions in the population. The inflammatory state is brought on by several factors, including hypertension, obesity, smoking, cholesterol, high sugar consumption, too little exercise, and lack of dietary omega 3 fatty acids. Read on as Dr. Jeffrey Parham, a Chiropractor In Denver, explains how inflammation can affect the health of you and your loved ones.
It is important to eliminate inflammation with an effective total health program. The average person can do many things on their own to put out the flames of inflammation, and improve health in the process. For example, eat plenty of fish and keep track of the calories you consume. Take in more unsaturated and less saturated fats. Eat more antioxidants and avoid food that can cause inflammation. The health of your nervous system can be improved with these steps, and this contributes to overall better health.
One of the most important roles the nervous system plays is adaptation. As things occur in your life, your nervous system helps you adapt and deal with many different issues. It is important to understand the role that stress plays in everyday life. Stress can be in physical and chemical form, as well as emotional. When the nervous system is functioning properly, stress can be easily dealt with. However, if the nervous system is not living up to its potential, you may enter “fight or flight” mode and this can bring on inflammatory responses.

Dr. Jeffrey Parham, DC (Free Report “What Your Doctor Never Told You About Fish Oil” at end of article)
Research indicates that krill oil is nearly forty seven times more effective reducing free radials in the body when compared with fish oil. Health practitioners have always advised people to get their daily dose of fish oil either through their diet or in the form of cod liver oil capsules that are also loaded with the same antioxidants that reduce the percentage of free radicals in the body that are responsible for various health problems as well as aging.

Described by American physiologist Walter Bradford Cannon in the 1920s, the ‘fight or flight’ reaction, also referred to as the ‘acute stress response’ in vertebrates refers to their stress responses in the form of specific physiological actions that can be associated with a general discharge of the sympathetic nervous system. The release of adrenaline and norepinephrine from the adrenal glands to the respiratory centers, heart, and blood vessels is triggered by the production and release of the precursor acetylcholine from the preganglionic sympathetic nerves. These hormones are primarily responsible for the constriction of blood vessels, the increase in breathing and the heart rate, the tightening of muscles, and other immediate physical reactions that constitute the general adaptation syndrome during times of real or perceived danger.

Welcome to this week’s Health and Lifestyle Tip. This week’s topic is about stress and I’ll show you in this short video a simple way to ease stress.
Most of us take breath for granted, which is kind of interesting given that we take about 17,000 breaths a day. That’s oxygen used to nourish the body, including over 100 billion cells in the brain alone.
Often, when stressed out we’ll start to breath in and out the nose. You probably all have seen that cartoon with the bull breathing like that, and what that does, it actually brings up our life force energy or our Chi.
Now, if we’re already stressed that breath pattern can increase our stress even more. So if we can check in to see how we’re breathing, especially when we’re feeling stressed or trying to get a lot done, the breath pattern that will help reduce stress is in the nose and out the mouth. It’s a very calming and relaxing breath.
Let’s breathe in the nose and out the mouth. Right away you’ll probably notice that you’re staring to feel calmer.
I hope that that’s been helpful for you and the next time you get stressed take a moment to breath in your nose and out your mouth, I’ll think you’ll notice a big difference.
I hope you find today’s heath tip beneficial and if you do, just scroll right down and leave a comment about your thoughts.
