Dealing with Stress
Denver, CO – Modern living can prove to be stressful for most and unbearable to some people because of the unrelenting demands in a fast-paced society. Failure to keep up with these challenges can impair our body’s physiological processes and over-all resistance from diseases because stress disturbs proper nerve functions. Wellness Rhythms sponsors Stress Awareness Month in order to inform the public about the dangers of unmanaged stress, the myths about stress, effective coping techniques and stress management strategies. The emerging discipline of Chiropractic offers the innovative therapy of Network Spinal Analysis to release the tension that built-up in the spine to restore health and wellness.
Imposed Demands vs. Capability to Satisfy
Stress commonly caused by the person’s inability to meet the imposed demands whether physically, emotionally, mentally or psychologically. It is caused by the discrepancy between the demands and the capability to satisfy. The demands could be real or imagined but, the observable symptoms include worrying too much, anxiety, irritability, loneliness, diarrhea, constipation, dizziness, chest pains, headaches, back–neck pains, irregular heartbeat, eating disorder or substance abuse.
Health Imbalance
Common sources include sensory overload like pain and over stimulation. It could also be physiological such as improper nutrition, pollution and harmful substances. Social factors like poverty, unemployment, death and divorce are also traumatic. In short, anything that is harmful to the various aspects of health can trigger symptoms if the coping mechanism of the nervous system is overwhelmed. Denver Chiropractor Dr. Jeffrey Parham once experienced a car accident in Hawaii and conventional medical treatments failed to restore function of his left hand. Even though surgery was recommended, Network Chiropractic helped him fully recover and pursue his hobbies of surfing, windsurfing and skiing.
Dealing with Stress
Some harmful ways of dealing are overdoing or neglecting something: food, exercise, relationships, entertainment, sleeping, arguments, alcohol and medication. The most effective form of management is dealing with your problems squarely. This could mean reducing the demands, improving the ability to meet them or both. Additional steps of stress reduction can be performed like: taking a brief walk, relaxing, spending time for self, hanging out, recreation, meditation or treating yourself.
Detoxify Your System
The final is to remove the toxins and tension that accumulated in your body. Alternative treatment methods offer better results because no surgeries, chemicals and medicines are involved in the process. The new chiropractic field of Network Spinal Analysis is based on gentle touch applied mostly along the spine at the patient’s neck and lower back. These gentle contacts are referred to as entrainments and stimulate the spine and the nervous system to release the accumulated tension stored by unmanaged stress.
An Innovative Treatment Model
Network Spinal Analysis helps the body regain awareness of its self-healing mechanisms and experience the two healing waves. During Network Spinal Analysis, the mind and the body enter a calm and energetic state. The healing waves are connected with the automatic discharge of spinal and life tensions which are used to fuel spinal re-organization and enhanced wellness. Anyone residing near the city of Denver, CO can consult a qualified Denver, CO Chiropractor with Level III Certification in Network Spinal Analysis to assess and treat their health concerns.

I can breathe. I no longer have allergies, hypothyroidism, sinus infections or chronic fatigue. Dr. Jeffrey Parham does amazing work, I really appreciate him!”
While I am sure regular treatments would only help to promote a good spine, when you cannot afford such treatment or if you do not have health insurance (as is the case with increasing numbers of unemployed persons), it would help you tremendously to take up Yoga. I incorporated it into my fitness regimen and I can tell you that it is great for strengthening your core (and other muscles) which leads to a strong spine.

Yes Joanne yoga is a great way to reduce stress and build muscle strength while connecting on a deeper level to self. Network Chiropractic teaches the nervous system to connect to the energy of tension and stress to use that as fuel for healing and transformation.
I had no idea until a couple of years ago that stress was so hazardous to my health. I started getting sick more often, my back and shoulders hurt all the time. I went to my doctor and he told me that stress breaks down your immunity among other things and that was why I was sick more often. He also suggested the chiropractor because I had so much tension in my spine. Thanks doc.

Thanks for stopping by Lillie. As stress stores in the spinal cord nerve flow decreases and just plain makes us sick. And yes Network chiropractic helps reduce stress and tension in the spine and nerves! Sound like your doctor has made a smart decision in referring you to a chiropractor! Let me know if I can be of service.
This was very interesting I never knew that there were so many things that had to do with your health led back to the spine and having a simple adjustment could take care of so much. Why do you suppose that is anyway? From what I understand there are a lot of mental illnesses that can be traced back to the spine as well is there something in the spinal fluid that effects the brain?

Well it’s more likely that stress is putting the spinal cord under tension and this effects the brain.
Thank you for taking the time to write up this blog I am so glad that I ran across it to. My husband is complaining about his back and neck hurting all the time and I tried to tell him it was the stress he is under at work but he won’t listen to me. I am going to leave this article out for him to read and maybe he will realize I was right.
You did an excellent job on your blog. You have included a lot of information that the normal person would not be aware of, like me. I just want to thank you for posting this information you can tell that you did your research and you obviously have put a lot of work into it. I hope that you will continue to post helpful hints about things that can be effected by the spine.
My friend attests to how beneficial chiropractic methods are for alleviating her back and nerve pain which she sustained after a car accident years ago. Since then, she practically lives with pain that is so debilitating that she smokes marijuana during every waking hour. Unfortunately for her, she cannot afford regular chiropractor services. So she does whatever she can, like ask me to give her massages and crack her back and I do my best to help her.

Hi John,
I recommend you suggest to your friend she see a licensed and trained chiropractor…
My husband is complaining about his back and neck hurting all the time and I tried to tell him it was the stress he is under at work but he won’t listen to me and he thinks it is from a car wreck he had years ago would an adjustment help if it were that? I am going to leave this article out for him to read and maybe he will give it a try.

That’s a great idea! You can contact me by email if your husband has any questions.
What all can be helped with spinal adjustments? I had no idea until a couple of years ago that stress was so hazardous to my health. He was the one who actually suggested the chiropractor because I had so much tension in my spine from the stress I was under that is was making me sick. I had one adjustment and felt so much better. Thanks doc.

Great question Patrica. Chiropractors remove nerve interference with an adjustment so the body can self heal. Have a great day!
Only in the past two or three decades have we begun to understand the significance of both stress and the alignment of your spine, and how they can affect our mental and physical health. Best selling books like the ones by Dr Norman Vincent Peale helped people to understand the power of positive thinking. I have come to understand the close tie that a strong core muscles, the alignment of your spine and mental health have with each other.

Good point Luz. And let’s not forgot the importance of proper nerve flow in health and wellness. That’s what chiropractic is all about… restoring nerve system function. Thanks for stopping by.
I have a lot of friends that go to a chiropractor for adjustments every two weeks and sometimes more. I have never been interested because back when Chiropractors first entered the scene they weren’t has skilled as they could possibly be now and most often you ended up having to have back surgery after a few months of adjustments. I had three family members that ended up that way.

Sorry to hear that Ricky. Chiropractic has come a long way. Take for example Network Spinal Analysis aka Network Chiropractic is very gentle technique that helps the nervous system learn to release and self regulate spinal tension. Network Spinal Analysis could be the gentle approach you are looking for to help your body.
